This is the third and finale part of the seventh anniversary of the Sci-Fi Party Line Podcast with the crew: Hanako and Stephanie depart. Cat (@fancyfembot), Carl (@robominister), Eric (@BullittWho), and Darrell (@thevoice123) remain.
We get a voicemail from @CarpeCarne that sets off a Daredevil and Childhood’s End discussion. We also bring up Colony, The Expanse (in which the producer of the show convinced Cat to watch), the new revival of The Syfy Channel (complete with a Bonnie Hammer reference), our feelings about space shows in general, and Cat kills the vibe with the mention of Sense8. She lifts the mood with a brief discussion on Doctor Who and BBC programming. The show closes with a rapid fire call off of shows we are watching.

The band is back together for an epic THREE HOUR EPISODE! Today’s crew is Carl, Eric, and Cat. Today we discuss the BBC Doctor Who Webisode “Night of the Doctor”. Next, we talk about Gravity (@15:48) and get into a cool discussion about realistic space movies. I got those guys to stop blahblahing about space and WE WENT TO THOR! (@51:11). Cat takes a moment to rant about Christopher Eccleston and his BAD decision to not join the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who. We talk The Walking Dead, Carol’s dark turn and resulting exit (@1:20:43). We also voices our concerns about Agents of SHIELD (@1:15:01). Eric compares it to Arrow. Cat is the only one excited about the new Robocop trailer (@2:14:48). Carl discusses his reaction to the pilot of The Tomorrow People. Later, Cat squees about the X-Men: Days of Future Past trailer and there’s some Star Trek: First Contact confusion. Finally, we read some of the feedback we’ve received on Twitter and thank the listeners of the show. Cat hopes @stefanlashley is a good sport because there’s some clowning going on. Thank you @MarkCockram, @crisklages, @AstralAudio, @hal2814, @starsnrain07, @Bluezfan1987, @dougrapson, and @DwightWho.
At the end of the episode, listen to Eric watch ‘Night of the Doctor’ for the first time live! He was totally fangirling it up!

Cat missed last week’s Torchwood on Doctor Who: Mostly Harmless Cutaway so she and Will talk in-depth about Torchwood and discuss all episodes up to ‘Immortal Sin’. We talk briefly about Doctor Who @ 32:05. We bitch and moan about Eureka‘s cancellation @35:15. There is fan appreciation for Felicia Day and Wil Wheaton. We made our obligatory Heroes dig while discussing Alphas. Will introduces Cat to a few anime titles (48:45) and of course Cat heckles him for his trouble: Bleach, Durarara and Full Metal Alchemist.
