Sci-Fi Party Line #240 Seventh Anniversary Episode Part 3

Daredevil_Cast_netflix

This is the third and finale part of the seventh anniversary of the Sci-Fi Party Line Podcast with the crew: Hanako and Stephanie depart. Cat (@fancyfembot), Carl (@robominister), Eric (@BullittWho), and Darrell (@thevoice123) remain.

We get a voicemail from @CarpeCarne that sets off a Daredevil and Childhood’s End discussion. We also bring up Colony, The Expanse (in which the producer of the show convinced Cat to watch), the new revival of The Syfy Channel (complete with a Bonnie Hammer reference), our feelings about space shows in general, and Cat kills the vibe with the mention of Sense8. She lifts the mood with a brief discussion on Doctor Who and BBC programming. The show closes with a rapid fire call off of shows we are watching.

-Carl (@robominister)

“YOU DIDN’T LIKE THE CYBERMITES? I LOVED THE CYBERMITES!”
-Will (@LW_Will)

“How do you go inside of your own corpse hole and find JOHN FRIGGIN’ HURT?”
-Cat (@fancyfembot)

[[[[[[[[[[[[[ SPOILER ALERT ]]]]]]]]]]]]]

Warning! Cat is on migraine medications so it gets weird. Today’s crew is Carl (@robominister), Will (@LW_Will), and Cat (@fancyfembot) and we briefly discuss ‘Nightmare in Silver’ and ‘The Name of the Doctor'(@18:23) in which unintelligible squeals and babbling ensue. Time cooch FTW!

[[[[[[[[[[[[[ SPOILER ALERT ]]]]]]]]]]]]]

ClaraInSkaldak'sHands

“It felt like Doctor Who is that guy that has the same tired old game but instead of changing his game he just changes girls.”
-Cat (@fancyfembot)

“There was an old cartoon called Mighty Orbots. The evil monster was this thing called Umbra; it looked like a sun with a mad face on it. So when I saw Doctor Who yelling to Umbra I said, ‘Aw Jeez, here we go’.”
