It’s the end of the year and we have a two-hour show jam packed full of the best and worst science fiction TV shows and movies of the year. Today’s crew is Cat and Carl. We kick off the show with the barely promoted In Time. After that we give the rules for our Second Annual Sci-Fi Turd Off (@15:51). We do a brief review of Cowboys & Aliens (@23:38) prior to putting Cowboys & Aliens and Transformers: Dark of the Moon head to head in this year’s Turd Off (@42:25). We cool off by talking about our favorite sci-fi movies of the year (@1:04:19) but get agitated again by discussing the sci-fi TV turds of the year (@1:15:40). We couldn’t end the show without a mention of SyFy’s holiday specials for Eureka, Warehouse 13, and Haven (@1:32:40). Finally, we wrap up by discussing the movies that we are anticipating in 2012 (@1:36:08).

Today Cat and Carl discuss the pilot episode of Terra Nova, the return of Fringe (@39:43) and Supernatural (57:36), and the second to the last episode of series six of Doctor Who (1:07:51). Carl complains about the Terra Nova cast being too attractive. Cat is excited that alternate universe Broyles is back in a tight t-shirt. You must listen to how Carl compares Doctor Who to Magnum P.I.!
Today’s crew is Carl, Steph, and Cat. We discuss the recent film Rise of the Planet of the Apes. At 36:16 Carl tells us a naughty Dragon Con story that he held. At 47:24 we do our sci-fi fan duty and gripe about the new Star Wars Blu-ray release.
Girl show! Steph joins Cat and they have loads of fun. They start with Nightmare on Elm Street then get to the main event: the movie review of Fright Night. Cat’s new found love for Colin Farrell has her excited about the new Total Recall (24:12). Total Recall leads to a discussion about The Lost Boys and the other two Lost Boys films that you may not have heard of or seen. Of course Steph took a minute to wax poetic about Apollo 18. Steph also gives our first Sci-Fi Party Line orgasm. You won’t believe what it was in response to. Later in the show Steph tries to sell Cat on Paranormal Activity and Ghost Hunters (57:25). We’ll let you guess how that went. Cat reveals that she will be attending another viewing of Evil Dead: The Musical this for Halloween this year (56:35). The show ends with song from the soundtrack of Evil Dead: The Musical, “Do the Necronomicon”.
Darrell joins Cat and Hanako to discuss the shocking True Blood season finale. Hanako gives us her Dragon Con report (1:01:10). She got to interview the cast of Being Human and ran into Joe Manganiello, Jim Beaver, Wil Wheaton, and Colin Ferguson.
Steph joins Cat and Carl for the first time and we discuss Apollo 18. There is a spirited difference of opinion of the enjoyment and quality of the movie. Carl tells us about his adventures at Dragon Con (@22:20). He had tales of costumes, Sexy Spock and plenty of star sightings.
Cat missed last week’s Torchwood on Doctor Who: Mostly Harmless Cutaway so she and Will talk in-depth about Torchwood and discuss all episodes up to ‘Immortal Sin’. We talk briefly about Doctor Who @ 32:05. We bitch and moan about Eureka‘s cancellation @35:15. There is fan appreciation for Felicia Day and Wil Wheaton. We made our obligatory Heroes dig while discussing Alphas. Will introduces Cat to a few anime titles (48:45) and of course Cat heckles him for his trouble: Bleach, Durarara and Full Metal Alchemist.
Today Hanako and Cat talk in-depth about True Blood up to the latest episode ‘Spellbound’. There is a casting spoiler for Supernatural @ 42:15. We also discuss some of the challenges and frustrations with the Pottermore website @ 45:20.

We address the Transformer 4/ Jason Statham rumors, talk about the new Spiderman movie and the future Avenger movie.
We had an “Sci-Fi After Party”(@1:22:00). We talk about Spartacus, man schlong, Joss Whedon, The Fall Guy, The Dukes of Hazzard, and Automan.
